Consistent Life Current Volunteer Needs

We have important responsibilities which we need to find new people to assume. CL is a Board-run organization without an office or salaried staff (it does retain consultants for particular tasks). Those performing functions for CL work out of their homes (or offices). Anyone assuming a responsibility listed here will be helped in the transition by the person previously serving in that role.

Secretary

Secretary is a Board Officer position, so this person will also serve on the Board, which usually meets quarterly by conference calls but occasionally holds residential meetings. Board members serve with no financial compensation. Duties include:

Taking minutes at Board and Executive Committee meetings;
Coordinating Board votes, either at the teleconference meetings or via email: presenting the motion, tallying the votes, and announcing the results;
Announcing upcoming meetings to the Board;
Drawing up and circulating the agenda for Board meetings;
Keeping copies of the minutes, bylaws, and other significant correspondence (in the future, this might include copies of endorsement forms by individual endorsers or member groups, although the last Secretary did not do that);
Contacting new Board nominees about the possibility of joining the Board; and
Serving on the CL Executive Committee.
