Peace & Life Connections #194 January 24, 2014
Roe Anniversary Events in the Media
BuzzFeed Politics did a photo essay on our contingent at the March for Life (CL and member groups Feminists Choosing Life of New York, Secular Prolife, and the Prolife Alliance of Gays and Lesbians, as well as our friends at Life Matters Journal).
CNN offered an opinion piece by Christopher Hale, “Why Progressives Should Be Pro-Life.”
We exhibited at the Cardinal O'Connor Conference, the Students for Life of America National Conference and the March for Life Exhibit Hall, receiving a lot of favorable responses at all of these.

And We March!

After the March, 14 people gathered for our post-March gathering. We had an interesting discussion where each group represented told something about what their group was doing and we discussed methods of increasing our effectiveness.

Quotation of the Week Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
For those who say to me “stick to civil rights,” I have another answer. And that is that I’ve fought too long and too hard now against segregated public accommodations to end up segregating my moral concern. I’m not going to do that. Others can do what they want to do. That’s their business. Other civil rights leaders for various reasons refuse or can’t take a stand or have to go along with the administration, that’s their business. But I must say tonight that I know that justice is indivisible. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice anywhere.
